Happy second day of November, dear readers! Today I’m gonna post a brief list of new upcoming release for the month of November 🙂
If I look at the other months, I must say that this one looks quite normal, including a lot of sequels and not new books. It’s quite okay in my opinion, since has been a great year.
A great year in which I read not a single 2018, but these are details.
Please ignore me.
But now, let me focus on the book and on every reader favorite part.
Girl of Paper and Fire || Maybe one of the most hyped book since it was announced. I know for sure it features a queer romance (maybe between the main characters?) and also talk about rape. I think it’s part of a series, but Goodreads says nothing. Yet, I’m fairly sure I read a snippet of the sequel on the author’s Twitter. Anyway, looks like the plot also revolve around rebellion and revolution, so, I’m sold.
Empress of All Seasons || Another book that looks like not being part of series but I will not gamble my reader reputation on that. It’s inspired by Japan folklore, and despite the fact that I’m not seeing stellar reviews about it, I’m still really interested. In fact it also talk about a competition for becoming Empress, but the MC is not a simple human but a yōkai.
Archenemies || I didn’t look up at the blurb because I don’t want to get a random spoiler, but the second book of Marissa Meyer superhero trilogy is out and I think is my good occasion for reading the first book during this month. In fact, this one will be not on my country Amazon for at least two weeks, so I’ll totally have time to read the first. (Renegades #2)
Kingdom of the Blazing Phoenix || Another book in which I didn’t look up the blurb because I’ve still to read the first one. My bad, I know. Anyway, since I remember the first one having a good success, I think that may of you were interested to know, in case you didn’t or not remembered, that the second one is out the 6th (Rise of the Empress #2)
The Storyteller || *embarrassed coff coff* Oh, look how the story repeat itself, with me owning the first book and still to read it and so doesn’t there to look up anything about the book because SPOILER! Forgive me, my dears. But… can we look at the cover?! I think this series has one of the most beautiful cover group ever. (Sean of Ink and Gold #3)
Empire of Sand || This is huge, since it’s an inspired Mughal fantasy and also ownvoices! The plot seems kind the usual, the girl with powers, that come from an oppressed or outcast group of people, that catch the attention of someone important and things happen. But I read that is really good and I’m super curios because sound promising and I’m always up to this kind of plot.
The Dark Days Deceit || I’m gonna be honest and say I wasn’t sure to include it or not. I remember that the first book was a huge deal, at least on bookstagram. Then everything became silent. But anyway, secret society + Victorian era + supernatural seem like a good mix (Lady Helen #3)
